June 2021

We are meeting on Sundays at 9am outside for one service (ending at 10:30am). Bring your own chair and elements for communion. No registration is required. We welcome feedback as we work through how to meet the needs of the body through this service in light of COVID-19 and the ongoing work after the fire in the chapel building. Kids church is also back. High schoolers will stay for the whole service and meet in their own discussion group afterwards. Email us for more information or with feedback.

The construction work is complete, but there are many more steps to take to unpack and organize all of the items in the Chapel building. This is an on-going project. Starting in February we are able to host small numbers in the building to participate in services together. For more information on gathering together at the chapel click here.

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.”

Foye

april 24, 2020 Structure fire

On Friday, April 24th in the evening there was a fire in our building.  We are grateful to the community of firefighters from Warren, Dighton, Somerset, and of course, Swansea for their time, hard work, and sacrifices in containing the fire and walking through this process with us.

There is significant damage to the foyer and the area directly below on the mezzanine level.

Although this is a difficult situation, we know that this is a building, and as the Church, our hope is greater than the walls that surround us on Sunday mornings.  The Church is a people and not a place. And though we may be gathering online longer than anticipated, we are united in Christ.

The building is secured and there is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire. General entrance into the building is currently strictly prohibited by the Fire Marshal.

We understand that this building is a special place to many people. There has already been and will be a continued outpouring of support and offers of help. At this time, we are still assessing our needs and will be sure to communicate them in the upcoming days and weeks.

We appreciate these offers and ask for prayers for wisdom in the many upcoming decisions.

We trust that God will provide and in Him we have hope of an eternal future, beyond any building.

important announcement in light of current events - COVID-19

The Elders have decided to cancel all Bethany Gospel Chapel services and gatherings. This will include Sunday Services, all Bible Studies, support groups, Kids Club and Youth Groups, for both onsite and offsite events.

Join us online Sundays in lieu of joining together in person. Click Here.

We have not made this decision lightly or in a spirit of fear but we acknowledge the call from God to care for one another as best we can. We reviewed the national guidelines for faith based groups (CDC Site) and we feel led to take these precautions. During this time we really encourage you to be praying for one another and to be in touch with one another through emails, phone calls, texts and the Chapel Facebook page. We will continue to make decisions based on the best information we have available.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us through email at office@BethanyGospelChapel.com.

Let's grow together through these challenges!

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God did not give us a spirit of fearfulness, but of power and love and a sound-mind.
